Opening Day 2011!

As a reward for hitting 15 hours a week of work for the month of April, I rewarded myself and my accountability buddy Eric with a trip to opening day at Great American Ballpark where my hometown Milwaukee Brewers were taking on the Cincinnati Reds. The game was great, the Brewers started off with back to back home runs to start the season and ended with a nice clean save by closer John Axford a walk off 3 run home run by Ramon Hernandez in the bottom of the ninth of Brewers closer John Axford. 🙁

I’ve already figured out my next “reward” for hitting 15 hours a week for the month of April. I plan on doing a mini-road trip to Nashville and Knoxville to check out the Brewers minor league teams, the Nashville Sounds (AAA) and the Hunstville Stars (AA, who play the Knoxville team). And then in June, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (A) play the Dayton Dragons. And my accountability buddy will be Dave S, who I won’t be bringing on this trip, but I will buy him lunch at the Blue Goose!

Eric and my seats. We were THE last row, which ordinarily is fine, but the wind was really biting back there. Me in front of GABP: And you know this is opening day, because no other game in Cincinnati gets so many people

One disappointing part of the experience was the crappy nachos we got. C’mon, nachos in a box?
