There was a 5.9 earthquake today in Virginia (no one was injured). As with the last few major world events, the news broke to me via Facebook status updates. I had a hard time holding back (that’s what she said) from saying “that’s what she said” on everyone’s status updates. Here are the top 5 actual “that’s what she said” worthy Facebook status updates:

  1. Seriously must have been napping in a vaccum. I didn’t feel a doggone thing.
  2. I didn’t feel crap…..
  3. Just felt the earth move.
  4. Did you just feel that???
  5. Omg. Was that an earthquake!!!
  6. Lola’s bone is almost as big as she is!

OK the last one wasn’t earthquake related, just a special bonus.

You are too funny! I also tried to capitalize on every TWSS moments I could but somehow it doesn’t sound as cool coming from me

Yeah it’s more fitting for a guy to have a mind in the gutter… but sometimes it’s really funny when a woman randomly says it. :)

I didn’t think much of it – it only lasted a few seconds (TWSS!)

After the first one they only get smaller (?)

I couldn’t tell from where I was standing if anything was going on or not.

I was in my car when it happened and I didn’t feel much…

I felt like I was being thrown around the room so we got under the table (?)

      #3 and #4 are getting there… I like the effort on #2 and 5. I’ll see if I can do it better…

      How about:

It could’ve sworn it lasted longer than 30 seconds (that’s what he said?)
This is the second time I didn’t feel it because I fell asleep
It felt longer than it was
I didn’t feel anything, but everyone around me did
