The Bears holding penalty explained!
Because I want to shut up stupid Bears fans was curious about the last holding penalty that negated an AWESOME trick play by the Bears in the Packers game yesterday, I found this video on YouTube that clearly showed the holding penalty:
You can read about the play here. I’m still amazed at how awesome it was, I’m someone who hates the Bears.

1. That was one of the sweetest trick plays I have ever seen at the NFL level. Too bad the dumb Bears player committed a foolish holding penalty.
2. I think the most egregious error was how could the punter not know where the ball was going? I don’t blame the other players, because they’re not supposed to be watching the punt. But even Masthay was heading towards the right side of the field!
3. Masthay is actually pretty fast for a punter. He would’ve caught Knox if there wasn’t a blocker.
Hmm, I didn’t see Masthay run the wrong way… I figured he looked up and by the time he figured it out, no one heard him yelling? I agree with you, Masthay actually made a really nice effort on that play. He almost ran through the block and got him.
I think the Bears can do a play off of that one… put both returners out there, and have one of them stand one way and the other stand the other way and see if you could draw some defenders that way. They at least have to pay attention now.
